Clocks

Been listening to “Clocks” by Coldplay, over and over and over, on my shiny black video iPod, “Onyx”. The original one, white, also shiny, is named “Pearl”, and Aijuan uses it to listen to “Baby Music”.
Usually listen to Trance/Techno as it “has a good beat and you can dance to it”, no, really, because it has a fast driving beat and goes forever and is good to do some tasks, and blocks out the loud and rowdy around here. But, too early for that, and I’m not in the mood yet for that much energy.
Thinking a lot lately, remembering really more than thinking, about my/our family life ‘back in the day’, 60’s, early 70’s maybe. Having fun in that house, me, Billy, Laura, Mom and Dad, and baby Erin.
Really missing M&D now, with baby coming soon. Start remembering things about ‘parents’, ‘parents’ and ‘children’. Really aches that I can’t share this with them, that they never got to see or experience me having children. They did get to experience that with Erin, but I wanted to also.
Aijuan went and checked out this lady’s ‘old’ infant car seat yesterday. It is pretty new but her baby has outgrown it, and she was going to give it to Aijuan to use. I’m not too keen on using old stuff like that, just paranoid, or just want something new, whatever. Last night I saw some stuff that looked like she brought home from that lady’s house, (she lives nearby), but no car seat, so I asked her about it. She made a face and said it was black. We had seen black baby furniture, etc., and are of the same mind. Like, “what are you thinking? BLACK ?!!”. What, is this Johnny Cash jr? You want them to start out artistically depressed?? Billy said, “Osh-kosh by Goth” baby goth clothing?? Weird. Also, what is the deal with all the brown?? Pink and brown, blue and BROWN ?? I missed some style train, I guess. I missed the memo on brown is the new brown, or something, but it looks kind of bleah to me. Whatever.
So anyway, Aijuan is down with the idea of getting a New infant car seat, (yay!), but one that is a combo stroller thing. Like you detach the module from the car seat base, and you can dock it in the stroller for EVAs. Or would this be BEVA’s? Like Baby EVAs ?? I wanted to get a new one, because Erin and Randy had got us a new one before and I wanted to keep that, honor that, gift, that gift for the baby, although it is a different baby now, 
. Aijuan had took a lot of stuff back and put it on a store gift card for credit to use later since we didn’t know what exactly would be happening later.
One thing, though, that I like, is that she is looking for ones that are sort of gender neutral, or at least not ‘traditionally gender specifically color themed’. You know, pink or blue. So looking at like green, etc. The idea is that we can use it for second one. 
I like the idea of that. Gotta have at least two. More fun for everyone that way. Plus when we get older there are two to take care of us and share the experience, etc. Just want to give them a sibling experience to their life. Also, if one becomes an internet billionaire, we can double-down with a second kid. 
No real news news. Aijuan has a home NST today about 4:30. Nice to have our house back to ourselves finally last night after a week of having house guest/s. Felt a bit strange, but was nice. Back to our Countdown to Baby and daily routines now.
